NATIONAL SERVICE SCHEME
The strength of N.S.S is 200 volunteers. They undertook the Clean India Campaign and actively participated in the campus maintenance. On 21-6-2018 a special programme on Yoga awareness on the eve of International Yoga Day was arranged in association with Manavala Kalai Mandram, Kanchipuram. SWACHHTA HI SEWA Campaign was organized on 20-9-2018 at Govt Elementary School, Karaipetai. Our NSS Volunteers made a remarkable achievement for the initiative and selfless service in donating Blood to Arignar Anna Memorial Cancer Hospital twice this year. We have received a Certificate of Appreciation for organizing Voluntary Blood Donation Camps at the District Level from Govt of Tamilnadu, at a function held at Chengalpat Medical College, Chengalpat, this year. An interactive session with a leading Psychiatrist from MMCR&I, Enathur is arranged by the NSS officers for the benefit of the First Year Students.
NSS Special camp under the theme “Youth for Cleanliness” was conducted from 28th February to 6th March 2019 and a number of developmental activities including Tree planting were undertaken in the adopted village and in schools.
The following awareness programs were organized during NSS special camp.
- Mental Stress – Reasons & Remedies by Deputy Directorate of Health Services, Kanchipuram.
- Tobacco & Plastic Awareness.
- Interactive Session with Motor Vehicle Inspectors from RTO, Kanchipuram on “Road Safety - Our Duty”
- NEEM Scheme for Employment.
The volunteers were sensitized to serve for this cause.
