DEPARTMENT OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION

We have provided all the facilities to the students to improve their sports activity for both Indoor and Outdoor games. Intramural tournaments were conducted for them to spot out their talents.

Talented students were given the chance to participate in Inter Polytechnic Athletic Association (I.P.A.A) tournament held at various Polytechnic Colleges throughout Tamilnadu. This year we have organized and conducted the Kanchipuram Divisional Volley Ball tournament and indoor games tournament in our campus. Our college team has won the following titles in Kanchipuram divisional tournament.

1. Our Chess Team has won the winner title held at SriSairam PTC, Tambaram.
2. Our Volley ball Team has won the Runner title held at BPT College.
3. Our Carom Team has won the Third Position held at SriSairam PTC, Tambaram.
4. Our Ball Badminton Team has won the THIRD Position held at SriSairam PTC, Tambaram.
5. Our Table Tennis Team has won the Third Position held at SriSairam PTC, Tambaram.
6. Our Football Team has won the Third Position held at Sri Sairam Polytechnic College, Tambaram.
7. Our Cricket team has won Third position held at APTC, Melmaruvathur.
8. Our Athletic team has won Seven medals held at S.R.M. Polytehnic College, Kattangulathur.

A Sound Physique Produces Sound Mind

1. All the students should compulsorily attend the physical training classes.
2. All the students are expected to take part in as many games as possible under the supervision of the physical director.
3. Players selected for the polytechnic team should practise regularly.
4. Discipline,good behaviour and sportsmanship should be maintained in any sports field.
5. Captains are responsible to take care of the game materials during the play hours and also for the discipline of the team on the sports field.
